SZEORv3.0 – support for refinery and petrochemical installations

SZEOR is an integrated IT solution for recording, reading and analyzing the operating parameters of technological installations: pipelines, tanks, appliances and the remaining protection equipment. Key system functionality includes estimating installation lifetime, as well as creating and supervising test and inspection schedules. Deployment of the integrated SZEOR system allows users to automate the process of supervising technological installations that are susceptible to corrosion, subject to wall thickness tests and other diagnostics measurements. SZEOR’s features and benefits include:
- Minimizing the risk of financial loss due to technical installation failures,
- Significant reduction of insurance premiums for installations covered by the SZEOR system,
- Performing structural inventory for technical installations and other technical facilities,
- Recording all measurements and examinations in a central database,
- Ensuring unified measurement recording standards and streamlining communications between the contractor and the customer,
- Performing causal analysis and trend estimations for progressive wall decay,
- Analyzing and planning optimized RBI inspection schedules based on:
- Trends in wall thickness decay,
- Life expectancy,
- Criticality index (confidence level).
- Receiving reminders about upcoming inspections plus automatic order generation,
- Registering all tests, among others: RTG, PMI, VT, PT, UT,
- Generating measurement service requirements,
- Keeping track of technical staff in charge of installations,
- Taking advantage of support for isometric drawings linked to test results.
The SZEOR system is modular and includes the following modules:
- SZEOR Pipelines,
- SZEOR Appliances and Tanks,
- SZEOR Measurements,
- SZEOR Projects,
- SZEOR Zero Measurements.
SZEOR features
The central register and inventory of equipment used in technological installations
The SZEOR system supports the central register and inventory of devices used in installations – pipelines, appliances, high-pressure equipment, non-pressurized tanks and emergency valves. The SZEOR application ensures easy access to basic data about the device, its location, technical and process parameters, and makes it possible to browse the record of inspections and tests carried out in the past.
Users can attach documents in electronic form (e.g. isometric drawings, instructions, photographs, test results, charts, trends) to each device.
Detailed history of device utilization
The system makes it possible to register all inspections and test carried out for pipelines, tanks and emergency valves.
For each device, users can record historical data related to completed inspections, tests and measurements. All completed tests and measurements are registered in the system.
Registering all completed measurements of wall thickness for technological facilities in the central database
The SZEOR system stores measurement results in the central database, and therefore provides easy access to recorded information. On the basis of available data, it is possible to carry out comprehensive analyses for all technology assets, both for the entire installation and for individual technological facilities. The record of historical data allows users to estimate trends for progressing wall decay. The central database provides managers with a detailed tool to analyze the condition of each device or installation.
Managing emergency valves and other protective elements
The SZEOR system allows users to keep a register of protective elements, such as emergency valves, and associate them with protected pipelines and tanks. It is also possible to keep a detailed register of emergency valves and analyze the completed preliminary tests with the “pre-pop” method.
Graphical support for isometric drawings
The system supports isometric drawings (DXF or bitmap format) attached to the equipment. On the drawings, users can place measurement points associated with the database and measurement results. The system features a symbol library used for introducing changes to isometric files. It is possible to print out only the selected layers of the isometric drawing.
Budgeting
Budgeting is one of the SZEOR system modules for creating, scheduling and analyzing incurred expenditures related to installation works – in particular expenditure related to measurements, research and inspections.
The SZEOR system stores detailed information about measuring point parameters on an isometric image. On the basis of this data and information about the costs for individual types of measuring points entered by the user, the system automatically calculates expenditures associated with wall thickness measurements and sums it up for the installation and the entire site in a specific calendar year.
The SZEOR system makes it possible to define price lists on the basis of parameters entered by the user. On the basis of price list entries provided by the user, SZEOR helps calculate the budget for carrying out various research projects and other tasks.
All the budget plan entries might be modified manually, and then must be accepted. The system allows comparison of the budget plan with the actual execution of the budget on an ongoing basis, and notifies the user if the budget has been exceeded.
Notification engine
SZEOR enables the user notification mechanism. The mechanism is fully configurable and allows users to define various types of notification messages for individual groups of users. The system may notify about passing deadlines for inspections or tests by sending e-mails to users or displaying information after logging into the application. The user might be also notified about incorrect inspection or test results (e.g. it is possible to generate notifications if the wall thickness drops below the minimum value or the valve settings exceed the preset value).
